Brain injury survivor finds new purpose after injury
Every year, millions of Americans suffer a traumatic brain injury. It can be something that changes their lives forever.
Justin Parks was coming home from a corner store when the car he was riding in hydroplaned and slammed into a building. The crash left him with a traumatic brain injury that changed everything. He had no broken bones — but the road ahead would be one of the hardest of his life.

Seizures followed. So did memory loss. He couldn’t drive. And at home, isolation felt comfortable.
“I was grieving my old self and the things I couldn’t do anymore. I was grieving them pretty hard,” he expressed.
