NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — More than 50 vehicles were towed in an overnight ghost car crackdown in Brooklyn, the Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday.
Between midnight and 7 a.m. on Oct. 24, the Sheriff’s Office removed 53 vehicles within various precincts in Brooklyn.
It comes as a result of the Sheriff conducting License Plate Reader Operations (LPRO) for ghost car enforcement.

More than 62,300 illegal motorized vehicles and over 38,000 ghost cars have been seized from New York City streets since 2022, Mayor Eric Adams announced earlier this year.
