A large fire broke out on upper levels of a high-rise building in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday morning, March 17.

The blaze broke out at 6 East 43rd Street, one block from where the St Patrick’s Day Parade was scheduled to begin at 11 am.

The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) said crews were responding.

According to one local news report, the cause of the fire is not known and there was no word on any injuries.
