New York State Police said a massive crash involving 22 vehicles left four people with minor injuries on Tuesday in Watertown.The crash happened just before 9 a.m. on Interstate 81 between Exit 44 and Exit 45. NYSP said a total of nine tractor trailers were involved in the crash, along with 12 passenger vehicles and one work van across both the north and southbound lanes.One of those tractor-trailers jackknifed and resulted in four minor injuries, police said.Investigators said whiteout conditions on the road contributed to the crash.The northbound lanes were temporarily closed but have been reopened. The southbound lanes remain closed as crews work to remove those crashed vehicles.
