KINGSBRIDGE, The Bronx (WABC) — More than a dozen people were injured after a fire broke out at an apartment building in the Bronx on Tuesday.

The fire started just before 3 p.m. on the third floor of a five-story building located at 3410 Kingsbridge Ave. in the Kingsbridge section. The fire went to a second alarm just minutes later.

Citizen App video shows flames shooting from the building, which also houses a daycare, and someone waving a flag from a window near the flames.

Dozens of units and over 140 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

Officials say 14 people suffered minor injuries, and were taken to nearby hospitals.

The fire was placed under control around 4:10 p.m.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
