More than a dozen people were injured after a fire broke out at an apartment building in the Bronx on Tuesday.
The fire started just before 3 p.m. on the third floor of a five-story building located at 3410 Kingsbridge Ave. in the Kingsbridge section. The fire went to a second alarm just minutes later.
Citizen App video shows flames shooting from the building, and someone waving a flag from a window near the flames.

Firefighters rescued at least one person from a window with a ladder.
The building also houses a fourth-floor day care, which was full of children at the time.
Dozens of units and over 140 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene, and the building was quickly, and safely evacuated.
Officials say 15 people suffered minor injuries, mainly children from the day care, and were taken to nearby hospitals.
Eyewitness News spoke to a father whose daughter was among the children taken to the hospital out of precaution.
“She says she’s good. A little shaken up,” the father said “This is the first time she’s been in a situation like this. Like I said that smoke is serious, but yeah… a couple days off for her. A couple days off.”
The fire was placed under control around 4:10 p.m.
There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
