After the Philadelphia Flyers hosted the National Hockey League‘s first-ever Phish Night, their rivals the New York Rangers announced they will get (back) on the train as well. On March 27th, fans can pick up an exclusive Phish/Rangers poster when the team faces off against the Chicago Blackhawks at Madison Square Garden.
Fans can purchase a ticket to the New York Rangers’ Phish Night here. Each ticket includes one poster per person, with pickup instructions arriving via email the day before the game. A portion of each ticket sale will benefit The Waterwheel Foundation, Phish’s charitable arm supporting local non-profits in the fields of climate change, food insecurity, social justice, and more.
While the game poster bears some resemblance to the work of legendary Phish poster artist Jim Pollock, a representative for the MSG Company confirmed, “Poster is designed by MSG Creative Team in collaboration with Phish!”
Phish, of course, has a long and storied history with Madison Square Garden, hosting the band’s annual New Year’s run most years since 1995. This summer, Phish will make a less-common summer visit to The World’s Most Famous Arena, playing five mostly non-consecutive shows in late July. That run will put Phish at 96 career shows at Madison Square Garden, teeing up the band’s 100th MSG show as the conclusion to its traditional four-night New Year’s Eve run.
Months before the Rangers’ announcement, Phish rang in 2025 at Madison Square Garden with an “It’s Ice Cream” New Year’s gag. Check it out below.
