TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A woman was arrested on a suspected OVI charge after crashing into a large sculpture in the center of the roundabout at Cherry and Manhattan Streets Tuesday night.
Just before midnight, police said a female driver driving northbound didn’t follow the roundabout, crashing into the art piece at its center.
The driver was not hurt but was taken into custody.
The piece, titled ‘Vessel’ was damaged in a 2023 fatal crash during a police pursuit.
It was removed for repairs in 2024 and re-installed in November of 2025.
It is unclear how much damage the sculpture sustained in the March 17 crash.
