BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A person was struck by an MTA bus in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon, according to FDNY officials.

A 911 call for a person struck by a vehicle was received at 2:16 p.m. near 49 Street and Seventh Avenue in Brooklyn, officials said.

Two cars bearing the MTA logo could have been blocking the street where the incident occurred. A B11 bus could be seen parked in the middle of the street and not moving, a video posted to Citizen showed.

The person hit by the bus was taken to a local hospital to be treated. Their status was not made available.

PIX11 News reached out to the MTA for comment, and the agency has confirmed there was an incident involving one of its buses.

Other details were not made clear.
