MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A two-hour volunteer event to help restore the city’s coastal dunes is scheduled for Saturday morning.

The Manhattan Beach Dune Restoration Project, which aims to remove non-native iceplant and plant and seed native dune species to increase coastal resiliency, meets from 9-11 am Saturday, March 21 at Bruce’s Beach, in the parking lot at the corner of 26th and Ocean, 587 26th St.

Tools and gloves will be provided. Participants are asked to wear close-toed shoes and also bring water, snacks, and sun protection.
