BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The honors continue to pour in for SDSU Senior Brooklyn Meyer who’s Honorable Mention All-American.
She is a finalist for the Mid Major Player of the Year-The Becky Hammon Award. And this has been the best season of her brilliant career.
But it’s the influence she’s had on her team that’s most impressive. I asked the West Lyon star how much she’s grown during her time in Brookings.
Brooklyn Meyer, SDSU Senior says, “A lot. I was just saying especially in these last few months I feel like I’ve had to grow a lot as a person and a leader. But yeah, it’s just been so rewarding.”
Hilary Behrens, SDSU Sophomore says, “I can’t even put it into words what she brings to our team. She’s motivation on the court, motivation off the court. No matter what she’s got your back. She’s a great friend a great human. She’s just like, I couldn’t ask for a better person to play with.”
The Jacks arrived in Fort Worth today and will practice tomorrow. Our Parker Brown is there with them and will have a preview of Friday’s game against Washington tomorrow night in the sportscast.
