Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, in stripes, last week joined forces with Selfhelp Community Services and Resorts World NYC to donate hundreds of meals to senior citizens in Flushing as part of the Lunar New Year celebration.
The event took place at the Selphelp Benjamin Rosenthal Senior Center.
in a press release, Rozic said Lunar New Year holds deep cultural significance for many families across Queens and throughout the Asian-American community.
Celebrations traditionally center around gathering with loved ones and sharing well wishes of health, prosperity and good fortune in the year ahead.
