THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 17-year-old girl was slashed with a box cutter while breaking up a fight between her boyfriend and a rider on a Bronx bus Wednesday night, according to police and sources.

The girl and her 17-year-old boyfriend were slashed on the BX12 MTA bus near East Fordham Road and Webster Avenue at around 7:51 p.m., police said.

The suspect and the boyfriend were arguing before the man pulled out a box cutter and slashed the boy in the right side of the neck and on the right hand, police and sources said.

The girlfriend was cut on the left hand when she intervened, sources said. The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said the suspect was dressed in all-black Nike track suit and a ski mask. There have been no arrests.
