Man struck in apparent hit-and-run crash on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City

UPPER EAST SIDE (WABC) — A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in an apparent hit and run on the Upper East Side early Friday morning.

The man was struck at Lexington Avenue and East 61st Street just before 4:55 a.m.

He was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital and is in critical condition

The vehicle was not at the scene when officers arrived.

Police are still investigating.
