BINGHAMTON, New York, March 20 — The Westhill [Syracuse, NY] Wolf Pack left no doubt who the best team was in New York’s NYSPHSAA Class A ranks Friday night in a 54-42 win over the Hudson [NY] Bluehawks.

The two teams were tied at 10-all with just under two minutes to play in the first quarter when Westhill closed the quarter on a 7-0 run to take control. By halftime, they had built a 37-22 lead, and that grew to 52-34 at the end of the third quarter.
Hudson managed to trim into that lead toward the end of the final stanza, but it was way too little, way too late.
The title is Westhill’s seventh in boys basketball, but the first since 2023.
