BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A teenage boy fell to his death while attempting to take pictures on top of a cellphone tower in Brooklyn on Friday, police sources told PIX11 News Friday evening.
Police responded to a 911 call for help around 1:15 p.m. near Kent Avenue and North 10th Street, close to Bushwick Inlet Park, a popular Brooklyn park that serves as the focal point of the Greenpoint-Williamsburg Waterfront.

A 16-year-old boy had climbed a cell tower to take pictures. Police sources say that at some point, the teen fell from an elevated position.
The teen was taken to a local hospital by Emergency Medical Services, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff, authorities said.
No criminal activity is suspected, and no arrests have been made, police said.
The teen’s name has not been released due to his age.
