WHITESBORO, N.Y. — Outdoor enthusiasts are gathering for the Big East Outdoor Sports Show at the Accelerate Sports Complex this weekend.
The event is now in its 33rd year and is open to anyone interested in hunting, fishing, boating, camping or hiking.
Organizers said the show features numerous vendors and seminars, along with the latest models of boats and campers.
There is also a petting zoo from the Fort Rickey Petting Zoo and a fish pond for children.
“If you’re looking to get into camping or boating this summer, this is a great way to start off because it’s close to home. We have lots of facilities around us, like campgrounds, lakes, that’s for sure. You can get into it relatively inexpensively, and it’s a great way to make memories with your family,” said Big East Outdoor Sports Show promoter Deborah Kessler.
The show continues Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors 55 and older, military and first responders; and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free.
