What do we know about the victims so far?
The pilot and co-pilot were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have yet to be revealed.
41 people were transported to hospitals—39 from within the aircraft and two Port Authority personnel.
According to Garcia, the two Port Authority staff are in a “stable” condition, but some of the other injuries of those taken to the hospital were “serious.” She declined to provide further details.
Air Canada has offered its “deepest condolences to the entire Jazz community and their families.”
“Air Canada cannot confirm the exact number of injuries or if there are other fatalities at this time,” the company added. “Emergency services are on site taking care of injured passengers, and some have been transported to local hospitals.”
How will air travel be impacted?
