New York—The New York City Police Department is searching for three people wanted in connection with a grand larceny pattern in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
NYPD received reports of three jewelry store robberies, all on March 9.
The first reported robbery took place at approximately 2 p.m. at Catbird, a jewelry store located at 253 Centre Street in SoHo.
Three people entered the store, and once inside, two individuals engaged a female employee in conversation to create a distraction, police said, while the third individual took jewelry valued at approximately $31,000 from an unlocked display case.
The group fled in an unknown direction, and no injuries were reported.
At approximately 6:10 p.m., three individuals entered another Catbird store, located at 108 North 7th Street in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood.
Once again, two people engaged a female employee in conversation, while a third individual removed jewelry valued at approximately $7,000 from a display case on the countertop.
They fled the store on foot, traveling eastbound on North 7th Street, police said.
No injuries were reported.

At approximately 6:55 p.m., three individuals entered Gorjana, a jewelry store located at 138 North 6th Street.
Similar to the previous incidents, two of the suspects engaged a female employee in conversation, and a third removed jewelry valued at approximately $3,500 from an unlocked display case.
They fled in an unknown direction, and there were no injuries reported.
The police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the three individuals allegedly involved in the robberies, who are pictured at the top of the article.
