Denis M. Anagnostis, 67, of Manchester, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at Willow Springs in Brick, New Jersey. Born on March 25, 1958, in Staten Island, New York, Denis was a man whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.
Denis was the cherished son of Margaret (Andruzzi) Anagnostis and the late John Anagnostis. He grew up in the close-knit community of Staten Island, where he formed lifelong friendships and met the love of his life, Laura. Their love story began in their hometown and continued as they exchanged vows on September 15, 1996. Together, Denis and Laura built a life filled with joy and companionship, first in Hazlet, New Jersey, and later in Brick, New Jersey, where they established deep roots and created countless memories. In 2020, they embraced the tranquility of retirement in Manchester, New Jersey.
Denis’s professional journey was marked by dedication and excellence. He began his career at Brooklyn Union Gas and remained a steadfast employee as the company evolved into Keyspan and eventually National Grid. As a parts administrator, Denis was known for his meticulous attention to detail and his unwavering commitment to his colleagues and the company. He retired in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and integrity after 41 years.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Denis was a man of love and kindness in his personal life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Laura L. (Malloy) Anagnostis, and a beloved son to his mother, Margaret. Denis is also survived by his dear brother, John Anagnostis, his cherished nephew, Eric Anagnostis, and his adoring mother-in-law, Pat Graff, who were all an integral part of his family circle.
As we bid farewell to Denis, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love and the simple pleasures that make each day meaningful. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will be a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know him.
