New York Giants meeting with veteran DT Shelby Harris

The New York Giants are continuing to explore free-agent options to bolster their defensive line this offseason.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that the Giants have shown interest in former Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Shelby Harris and will meet with him on Tuesday.
Harris was productive for the Browns across 17 games played, five of which he started in 2025. The Wisconsin native recorded four passes defensed as well as seven tackles for loss last season.
The Giants stand to benefit from adding a strong defensive tackle next to two-time second-team All-Pro nose tackle Dexter Lawrence. New York’s defense has been talented on the edges in recent years. However, the situation is ripe for the Giants to sign a quality defensive tackle.
