NEW YORK — Columbia baseball is set to host Manhattan on Wednesday from Robertson Field at Satow Stadium. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
After taking the conference opening series against Harvard over the weekend, Columbia is now 52-10 at home since the beginning of 2022. Wednesday’s game between the Lions (4-12, 2-1) and Jaspers (8-12, 3-6) can be followed via live stats or watched live on ESPN+.
Last time out
After dropping the opener despite a nine-strikeout outing from Alex Sotiropoulos, the Lions fell in game one, 4-1. Columbia responded with a behind Jackson Brewer’s two-run homer in the first inning, a 4-for-4 performance from Anthony Temesvary and strong work out of to earn a 5-3 win in game two.
Columbia carried that momentum into the series finale, as Brewer’s three-run homer and a dominant outing from Thomas Santana on the mound powered the Lions to a 2-1 start in conference play.
Series History
Columbia is 54-45-2 all-time against the Jaspers and has won five straight games in the series. The last nine matchups between the two teams have taken place at Robertson Field at Satow Stadium.
Something’s Brewing
Brewer has been red-hot of late, hitting .438 and with a 1.063 slugging percentage, three homers and 10 RBI in his last four games. Prior to his big weekend against Harvard, he posted three hits with a homer, double, four RBI and two runs scored at UCF. His four home runs now lead the team.

Columbia opens its Ivy League road slate this weekend at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire, with a doubleheader set for Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
