Hailing from New York’s 109th District, which includes Albany and the surrounding communities, State Assemblymember Gabriella Romero’s favorite thing about being a legislator is helping solve complex problems.

In the next five years, Romero sees the City of Albany undergoing tremendous growth and revitalization as a result of a $400 million state budget investment, including $200 million for capital projects.

Romero would take an out-of-town visitor to Thacher Park for a hike and for views of Albany, followed by a stop at a local brewery. Her favorite movie is Hamilton.
