We started with a few appetizers to experience the breadth of dishes. Yellow tail sushi is fresh from the sea and artfully prepared with wasabi and soy sauce. Rock shrimp tempura is a house favorite served with Japanese mayo. The coconut shrimp are a must, so crunchy and juicy inside, with sweet mango chili dipping sauce ($17). Shrimp spring rolls are delicate and crunchy outside with mango sweet chili sauce for dipping ($17). Sriracha Jade wings add a kick to this starter and the teriyaki wings or Bourbon Jade wings have a glossy glaze with plenty to share ($16). Chinese style dumplings are fried or steamed in a basket with savory soy sauce. We shared the cocktail sized samosas, bite size versions of traditional savory pastry filled with potato, peas, and mild spices, a great vegetarian option, as is the cauliflower Manchurian style.

Jade Eatery’s menu features an extensive sushi section, Wok section, Thai section, and Mughlai dishes from Northern India, including the tandoor oven. Diners are encouraged to share different dishes, such as a gorgeous platter of assorted sushi rolls and maki rolls made with tuna, yellowtail, eel, shrimp, and more. From the tandoor oven, my friend’s tandoori chicken was marinated in yogurt and ginger, then perfectly cooked to a succulent finish in the clay oven, served with fluffy rice. Butter chicken, masalas, curries and biryani rice dishes are all delicious and made on the spot.

Thai lamb curry Panang was exceptional with tender slices of lamb, green and red bell peppers, and a creamy, silky sauce that soaked into the fluffy rice. From the grill comes juicy skirt steak Szechuan, crispy Thai steak, and filet mignon to cut into. Noodles and rice dishes from Thailand and China are fabulous, such as Pad Thai, Jade special seafood lo mein, Thai basil fried rice, and the outstanding pineapple fried rice, meant to be shared. There are even Jade tacos filled with glazed salmon, teriyaki steak, cauliflower, and chicken tikka masala for a twist.

Get your dessert on with moist carrot cake, chocolate lava cake, chocolate fudge cake, and an Indian dessert of gulab jamun.
