Fire Blocks Lincoln Tunnel Lane From NYC To NJ: State DOT

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle fire in the Lincoln Tunnel blocked traffic from Manhattan to New Jersey during the Wednesday evening rush hour.

Buses were being diverted from the north tube to the center tube, the Port Authority said.

“As of 5:25pm, there’s a vehicle fire at the Lincoln Tunnel north tunnel westbound approaching New Jersey side in Weehawken Twp. All lanes blocked,” the DOT said.

This was the second time in a week that a vehicle fire blocked a lane of the tunnel, causing delays.
