She’s an actress and talk show host, but it turns out Drew Barrymore has a gift for design as well. “Between Pinterest, thrifting and a can of paint, there’s nothing you can’t do,” she told The Wall Street Journal. After two years of employing those tools in extensive, personally appointed renovations, Drew Barrymore is letting go of her park-like Westchester County home, putting it on the market with Compass Real Estate for a hair under $5 million. The talk show host, actor, producer, and businesswoman bought the 12-acre Harrison, New York, estate in 2024 for $4.4 million and embarked on a complete gut renovation, employing the design eye she honed helming her Beautiful by Drew housewares line to reimagine the 1747-built property with modern updates while honoring its historic character.

Barrymore, who primarily lives in New York City, was looking for a more convenient escape from the hustle and bustle after growing weary of the traffic to and from her former Hamptons home. Less than an hour from the Big Apple, the 12-acre Harrison property fit the bill. “I walked in and I was, like, ‘I know my family’s been here. I know that I have to work on this house. I know that I’m supposed to be doing this,’” the Santa Clarita Diet star told The Wall Street Journal. “It was like a strange, spiritual calling.” But by the time the project—a bigger and more expensive undertaking than expected—was complete, Barrymore’s needs had changed.
