A plan to rebuild Penn Station that is under consideration by President Donald Trump could result in an iconic New York City building being moved.

Gothamist reports that storied entertainment mecca Madison Square Garden could be moved across Seventh Avenue under a plan being considered by the president.

There’s one important caveat: MSG owner James Dolan must approve.

A delegation of politically connected Trump supporters floated the plan during a closed-door Oval Office meeting in September, Gothamist said.

The proposal would transform Midtown Manhattan by moving MSG from its current location atop Penn Station.

It is the only one of a number of competing Penn development plans that calls for moving MSG.

The White House meeting and decision to move the proposal forward signal that Trump is considering the option to move the legendary venue.

The proposal would restore Penn Station to its former glory before it was torn down in the 1960s to make way for the Garden, including Greco-Roman columns, a large clock and a glass roof to let in natural light.

The arena’s current site would be replaced by a fountain and green lawn space between the new Penn and Moynihan Train Hall.

Sources said that Trump, who made his fortune in New York City real estate in the 1980s, knows very well that the plan can’t go forward without the support of billionaire MSG and New York Knicks owner Dolan, who has for years publicly refused to relocate.

It is expected that a “master developer” for the Penn Station project will be chosen in May.

Penn Station currently served 600,000 riders each day.
