Police announced on Friday, March 27, that two additional people have been arrested following the murder of 16-year-old Christopher Redding in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx last month. As reported, police said Feb. 14, that they had arrested one unnamed teenager following the triple shooting in which Christopher was fatally shot, and two other surviving teens were hospitalized.
At a subsequent vigil following Christopher’s death, as reported, the victim’s parents had called on those responsible to turn themselves in. One additional female suspect is still being sought in connection to the incident, according to police.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police said Zion Martinez, 19, from the Charlotte Gardens section of The Bronx and Anthony Caballero, 19, from the Little Yemen section of The Bronx were arrested and charged on March 26 at 2 p.m. in the confines of the 50th Precinct.
They said both have been charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder. They are presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
As reported, police had been investigating the incident in the context of a possible “gang nexus.” Read our prior coverage of the incident here and here.

As reported, an FDNY/EMS spokesperson said the department received a call at 5.11 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, for a report of a shooting at West 238th Street and Review Place (a block from Broadway).
They said two people were taken to local area hospitals and their condition and description were unknown.

They said two people were taken to local area hospitals and their condition and description were unknown.
The NYPD press office later said officers responded to a 911 call for multiple individuals shot at the intersection of Broadway and West 238th Street within the confines of the 50th Precinct.

“Upon arrival, officers observed a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the back, a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the right leg, and a 13-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the right leg.”
They said EMS responded and transported all three victims to St. Barnabas Hospital where the 16-year-old victim was pronounced deceased. They said the 13-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy are in stable condition, and added that no initial arrests have been made and the investigation remained ongoing.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, on Thursday, Feb. 12, NYPD detectives released the attached photos and a video of four suspects sought in connection to the shooting.
They said the first suspect was described as male, and was last seen wearing all black clothing, brown boots, and a blue mask. They said the second suspect was also described as male, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, blues jeans, and white sneakers.

They said the third suspect was also described as male and was last seen wearing all black clothing, and the fourth suspect was described as female, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and a blue mask.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police said on Saturday, Feb. 14, that an unnamed 17-year-old male was arrested at 2.45 p.m. in the confines of the 50th Precinct.

They said he was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, manslaughter and two counts of assault, and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon (a loaded firearm). He is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
