A 10-year NYPD veteran was arrested after he allegedly pulled his weapon on a co-worker inside police headquarters, police sources said Friday.

Police Officer Quilbvio Espinal, 35, was taken into custody without incident and charged with menacing at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday, cops said.

Espinal, a 10-year veteran of the force, was on duty when he was accused of pulling his weapon on a female NYPD civilian employee inside 1 Police Plaza, the NYPD’s main headquarters, in lower Manhattan, according to police sources with knowledge of the case.

Details of what happened were not immediately disclosed.

An NYPD spokesman said that the Internal Affairs Bureau was investigating the case and declined to comment further.

Espinal was given a desk appearance ticket and is expected to answer the claims in Manhattan Criminal Court at a later date, cops said.

He was assigned to the department’s Information Technology Bureau in February, 2024, according to his NYPD profile.

The Information Technology Bureau is responsible for implementing and maintaining computers, software, storage devices and equipment the department uses in crimefighting.

An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified the victim as a fellow NYPD officer.
