Rochester, N.Y. — Advocates joined forces in Rochester on Friday, calling on Governor Kathy Hochul and state lawmakers to fully defend the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.
This is in response to the governor’s recent proposal to roll back some measures.
“While the federal government is turning its back on protecting our climate and our citizens,” said New York State Assemblyman Harry Bronson. “New York State should step up; New York State should be pushing further.”
The governor says the proposed rollbacks are due to the high costs of fully implementing the climate law.
