CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A man was found dead along the Coney Island shoreline early Saturday morning, police say.
The unidentified man was seen floating face down just before 9:30 a.m., according to authorities. He was pronounced dead at the scene after being found unconscious and unresponsive, officials reported.

The man’s body was found just hours before Coney Island reopened its park and boardwalk at 11 a.m. for the spring season.
It was not immediately made clear how the man may have died or how he may have gotten there. The incident remains under investigation.
