ROUSES POINT, N.Y. (WCAX) – New York State Police say a man found dead inside a room at the Anchorage Motel on Lake Street was the victim of a homicide.
Troopers say they were called to the motel early Saturday morning, where they found Tyrone Biggs, 57, of Rouses Point dead.
Investigators allege that Austin Lapier, 31, also of Rouses Point, killed Biggs Friday night. Lapier has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Police say an autopsy determined Biggs died from a stab wound to the neck, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
Authorities have not released additional details about what led up to the stabbing.
