An elderly Brooklyn man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway in Woodside on Sunday, March 29, police said.

Milton Kofsky, 75, of 52nd Street in Borough Park, was behind the wheel of a 2026 Subaru Forester traveling eastbound past Calvary Cemetery in the vicinity of 58th Street when he failed to navigate the roadway and struck a concrete median as he was approaching the Maurice Avenue exit for Maspeth, according to authorities.

Police from the 108th Precinct responded to the scene and found the senior in the wreckage of the SUV. EMS rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short while later.

The investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad remains ongoing.
