NEW YORK, NY — More than 11,600 New Yorkers cast votes in the first-ever Mayor’s Municipal Madness, a bracket-style competition that lets residents select city projects to be fixed personally by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
“Small frustrations like these are our job to worry about so you can focus on the big things,” Mamdani said in a video announcement alongside New York Liberty guard Natasha Cloud.
The competition invites residents into the process, encourages friendly competition, and highlights city workers who maintain New York’s infrastructure. Every project featured in the bracket will be repaired, officials said.
Voting runs daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.:
