A Pelham resident found five swastikas etched on parts of the playground at the Hutchinson Elementary School Sunday afternoon. The resident alerted the Village of Pelham Police Department and also alerted members of a Facebook group for local parents.
An entry on the police blotter from March 29 indicates
that two officers went to the area and “found, written in pencil, five swastikas” as well as the words “Hitler” and “India.” The blotter entry noted that there was no indication of who defaced the property or when the incident occurred, only that the “writing was removed and no damage to property.”
