'Inside Out Classic' animated presentation of Washington Capitals-New York Rangers headlines seven exclusive NHL games this week on ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu

The NHL regular season continues this week, highlighted by the Inside Out Classic, a real-time animated presentation featuring the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+, Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney XD with the traditional telecast on ESPN. NHL action continues with seven exclusive games this week on ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu.

In 2023, the “NHL Big City Greens Classic” featured the Capitals vs. Rangers and was the first-of-its-kind real-time volumetric animation presentation in sports. The Inside Out Classic visualization will leverage tracking technology to recreate the action on the ice as it is happening while featuring animated characters from Inside Out skating alongside animated versions of the NHL players.

Following the traditional Capitals‑Rangers telecast earlier Sunday, the St. Louis Blues take on the Colorado Avalanche at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Exclusive game action begins Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu with the Carolina Hurricanes and Seth Jarvis taking on the Columbus Blue Jackets and Zach Werenski for a Metropolitan Division matchup.

The rush to the Stanley Cup Playoffs continues Thursday with an ESPN+, Disney+ and Hulu doubleheader, beginning at 7:30 p.m. with Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils hosting Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. Later at 10 p.m., the Utah Mammoth aim to hold on to their Wild Card position in a Western Conference matchup against the Seattle Kraken.

ABC Hockey Saturday continues with a doubleheader, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with an Original Six matchup between the Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers. Following at 3 p.m., the Colorado Avalanche take on the Dallas Stars, with both teams having clinched a playoff berth.
