The New York Giants haven’t formally announced their uniform numbers for the upcoming 2026 NFL season, but some of the newer players are already staking claim to jersey numbers.
Such is the case for free agent tight end Isaiah Likely, whom the Giants inked to a three-year, $40 million deal three weeks ago.
Likely, who played his first four NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, wore No. 80, but as a Giant, he’s changing his look.
Likely recently posted on his IG account that he will be wearing No. 9 this year.
No. 9 was most recently worn by veteran placekicker Graham Gano, who was waived with a “failed physical” by the Giants on March 30.

The team’s website also lists No. 9 as being assigned to wide receiver Ryan Miller, whom the Giants picked up on waivers from Tampa Bay last December.
