Four women of distinction were honored by the Greater Jamaica Development Corp. at the fifth annual “Women Who Lead” Women’s History Month celebration at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center on March 24.

GJDC President Justin Rodgers and Patricia Robinson, its chief administrative officer, gave out certificates to the recipients.

Megan Hannigan, managing principal at FS Vector, received the Excellence in Social Responsibility award; Karen Calle, co-owner and managing director of Bella Lulu’s, received the Excellence in Business award; Raquel Oliveras, assistant commissioner of neighborhood development at the city Department of Small Business Services, received the Community Service Impact award; and Whitney Mulzac, chief of staff to the City Council’s Deputy Speaker (D-Nantasha Williams), who was in attendance, received the Champion of Advocacy & Public Service award.

Rodgers said the women have been good partners in the GJDC’s efforts to make Jamaica flourish.
