Creek Jumps Banks in Trenton, Closes Road Until Further Notice

TOWN OF TRENTON, N.Y. — Rising water has caused Cincinnati Creek to overflow and close roads in the Town of Trenton.

Earlier Tuesday, crews captured video showing the creek jumping its banks and shutting down Prospect Junction Rd. between Plank and Owens roads.

The road will stay closed until further notice.

In Hinckley, water is flowing over the spillway at the Hinckley Dam.

Flooding is expected to continue along the West Canada Creek as water levels at the dam keep rising.

Moderate flooding at the dam is forecast to begin tomorrow morning.

On Tuesday morning, the Volunteer Fire Company of Western recorded video of the Mohawk River along River Road in North Western.

The video, shot from inside a fire truck, shows the river running high and fast.
