HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac softball team is back home this weekend for a MAAC series against Manhattan University.

First pitches are set for 12:00 p.m & 2:00 p.m. on Friday and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

SCOUTING MANHATTAN
The Jaspers enter the weekend with a 8-22 overall record and 4-7 MAAC record.
Sophia Kiseloski leads the team in various categories including batting average (0.328), OPS (0.874), doubles (8), home runs (4), and RBI (34).
Pitcher Karissa Spring has started 27 games for Manhattan, tossing 150 innings with a 4.71 ERA. Spring has allowed 125 runs on 176 hits while recording 87 strikeouts.Â
BOBCAT BREAKDOWN
The Bobcats are currently 11-3 in conference play, their best start since being in the MAAC, although dropping their first MAAC series to Rider 2-1 last weekend.
Sofia Vega hit 7-for-15 (.467) against Merrimack and Rider, recording a double, two triples, four RBI, and five runs scored while also drawing three walks.
The senior has recorded six multi-hit games in her last 11.
Vega leads the team in various categories: batting average (0.427), OPS (1.082), runs scored (19), and triples (3).
Mary Fogg has recorded at least one hit in 19 of 25 games this season.
Fogg was on a 10-game hitting streak between 2/20-3/14.
Riley Potter has recorded a hit in seven of her last eight games, three being multi-hit performances.
Four Bobcats are perfect in stolen bases this season with Aryn Bombery leading 4-for-4.
All nine starting batters hold an average at or above 0.250 and OPS above 0.690.
Shannon Kendall posts a 11-6 record with a 4.83 ERA. Kendall has recorded 33 strikeouts.
MAAC PRESEASON
The Quinnipiac Softball team was voted to 7th in the MAAC Preseason Poll after last season ended in the MAAC opening round against the Rider Broncs.
Senior outfielder Mary Fogg was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team.
Fogg started 38 games and led the team in batting average (.333), hits (40), and multi-hit performances (9), while also being named Second Team All-MAAC.

KEY RETURNERS
The Bobcats return 16 players from last year’s team.
Mary Fogg returns after a standout All-MAACÂ Second Team season, leading QU in various categories. Fogg was also named All-MAAC First Team and Rookie Team in 2023.
Madison Waltke was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2025. Waltke finished conference play with the fourth best batting average on QU at .302 and the team-best OPS at .888.
Junior catcher Riley Potter posted a 0.267 batting average, recording 31 hits and a team-high 10 doubles.
LAST SEASON
QU is coming off its best MAAC record in the past eight seasons, finishing conference play at 14-11.
LEADING THE BOBCATS
Head Coach Hillary Smith enters her eighth season with the Bobcats after being named the eighth coach in program history.
Assistant coach Xen Penny enters his first season with the Bobcats.
QU Softball alum Hannah Davis also joins the coaching staff for her first season.
