An international delivery company is moving its local operations from Queens to a new home in Bethpage.

Aramex, which ships packages across the globe and is based in the United Arab Emirates, is set to relocate its industrial, storage and office space in Queens to a 48,150-square-foot space at 999 South Oyster Bay Rd. in Bethpage, according to published reports.

Aramex was founded in 1982 and has since emerged as a global leader in logistics and transportation. The company says its “strategic location facilitates extensive customer reach worldwide, bridging the gap between East and West.”

Aramex has operations in over 600 cities across 70 countries, employing over 16,000 people, according to its website.

The 999 South Oyster Bay Road building was the former home of Grumman Corp., which was later redeveloped into the Bethpage Business Park.

The Nassau County Industrial Development Agency granted Steel Equities 40-year tax breaks in 2011, which, according to an annual IDA report, are set to expire in 2052. The tax breaks were intended to support the redevelopment of the property into the current iteration of the business park.

Imperial Sales, a wholesaler of brand-name appliances, was the previous tenant of the building. The company has since moved to Mellville.

Justin Myers, an executive managing director and principal at the brokerage Lee & Associates NYC, who allegedly arranged the lease for Aramex, declined to comment.

Efforts to solicit comment from Aramex were unavailing.
