Have you ever had a meet-cute? In the dating app era, a spontaneous romantic meeting can be hard to come by, but the new Broadway musical Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) adds a twist to the classic rom-com trope. Dougal is a Brit who’s never been to New York before, while Robin is a barista rushing around ahead of her sister’s wedding. She picks up Dougal, the estranged son of the groom, as well as the wedding cake, which leads to an adventure that just might change both their lives.
Two Strangers comes to Broadway from multiple hit runs in London, with Olivier Award winner Sam Tutty returning to the role of Dougal alongside Christiani Pitts as Robin.
