NYC officer injured in hit-and-run during traffic stop: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – An NYPD officer was injured after being struck by a car that then fled during a traffic stop Saturday evening, police said.

Authorities say the officer pulled over a white Infinity at Broadway and Wallabout Street around 8:17 p.m. for a routine traffic stop.

The officer was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. He is expected to survive, authorities said.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation remains ongoing.
