CYPRESS HILLS, Brooklyn (PIX11) — One man is dead and another critically injured after being shot in Brooklyn Sunday evening, according to police.
Officers received a 911 call just before 6 p.m. for a report of two people shot on Fulton Street between Cleveland and Elton Streets in Cypress Hills, officials said.
Two men, 30 and 50, were found with gunshot wounds and were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The 30-year-old man died from his wounds later Sunday night, according to police. The 50-year-old victim remained critical.
One person of interest was taken into custody shortly after the shooting but has not yet been charged, officials said.

Police do not know if the victims and the alleged shooter were known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing.
