EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Zach Noe Towers is set to release his debut special, Twink Death, on YouTube on April 24.

Produced by Bob the Drag Queen’s Purse First Studios and shot at Westside Comedy Theatre in Santa Monica, Twink Death delves into Towers’ religious Midwestern upbringing, the slippery slope of sobriety and medication, why “gay” is always a compliment, and his deep skepticism of marriage — especially when it comes to the questionable ROI of straight weddings.

The special, written, performed, and directed by Towers, will premiere as a collaboration on Towers’ YouTube channel with Purse First Studios. Towers and Bob The Drag Queen exec produced it, with Purse First Studios, Joey Von Haeger and Alex Goodman producing.

“It feels like this special has been growing inside of me for years and I’m so thankful to have finally given birth to it. And to have a great friend like Bob the Drag Queen help deliver it has made this experience all the more special,” Towers told us. “Now it’s time to introduce my baby to the world and hope the world loves it as much as I do.”

A St. Louis native now based in Los Angeles, Towers entered the comedy scene in 2018 when he was named a New Face of Comedy at Just for Laughs Montreal. Recently appearing in Cooper Raiff’s Hal & Harper on Mubi, and the third season of Netflix’s Dear White People, he’s also been seen hosting the E! series Nightly Pop and Dating #NoFilter.

Towers recently hosted the sex-based SiriusXM show After Hours with Zach Noe Towers, and currently hosts Good Sod Pod, a weekly podcast about sex that “you probably shouldn’t be listening to.” He earned his BA in Musical Theatre from Indiana University before moving out west to pursue a career in entertainment and has been touring this year as the opening act for Taylor Tomlinson and Fortune Feimster. He is represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, Independent Artist Group, and Knol Hanly.
