CUNYAC Softball Player of the Week

Megan Bell, Baruch (Sr., IF/OF, Flushing, N.Y.)

Bell finished a conference doubleheader batting .889 (8-9) in a sweep of York on Wednesday, driving in eight runs and scoring nine. She finished 4-4 with two triples and six RBI in the opener, then went 4-5 in the nightcap with two RBI, four runs and a pair of stolen bases.

CUNYAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Reina Castro-Johnson, Baruch (So., P/1B, Denver, Colo.)

Castro-Johnson struck out eight as she twirled a five-inning no-hitter against York on Wednesday.

CUNYAC Softball Rookie of the Week

Abigail Bidinger, Hunter (Fr., P, Boylston, Mass.)

Bidinger tossed a five-inning no-hitter, fanning eight, in the Hawks’ conference opener against Lehman on Saturday. She finished with a 3.98 in three appearances in the circle last week. Bidinger also batted .333 (8-24) with four runs scored and an RBI at the plate.

CUNYAC Softball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)

Jastherine Marte, Baruch (Fr., 2B/OF, Bronx, N.Y.)

Marte finished 2-4 at the plate with a walk and a hit by pitch (.667 on-base percentage) with five runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of York Wednesday.
