TOWN OF GOUVERNEUR, New York (WWNY) – New York State Police are searching for a missing vulnerable adult from the town of Gouverneur.
Troopers said Clyde Warriner, 80, was last seen Saturday, April 4, 2026, at about 12:30 p.m. as he left a funeral service in Edwards.
Warriner is described as a white man, about 5′10″ and 250 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes. His clothing at the time he was last seen is unknown.
Police said he is believed to be driving a 2023 red Hyundai Elantra with New York registration LET2000.
Investigators said Warriner may be in or near his vehicle and could be traveling in the Russell and Pierrepont areas. Police said he is considered vulnerable because of medical conditions and may need assistance.
State Police said patrols have been conducted in surrounding areas and that they are continuing to follow up on leads.
Residents are asked to check their properties, outbuildings, and vehicles for any sign of Warriner or the vehicle.
