Over 1.2 million fans are expected to be in the area for the games, meaning New York City has to plan accordingly for the event, too.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani even named a “World Cup czar” for his administration, which has been actively making preparations for the games.
FIFA World Cup is expected to bring $3.3 billion dollars in economic activity throughout the region.
Other host countries include Mexico and Canada, with more cities in the U.S. holding matches, too.
What is the World Cup schedule for NYNJ?
The games will take place in the region for over a month, with the schedule as follows, according to the stadium:
