New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s approval rating is worst in Staten Island as he prepares to mark his first 100 days in office this week, according to a new poll.

The survey by Marist Poll, conducted between March 26 and 31, revealed that only 27 percent of respondents in Staten Island approved of Mamdani’s performance, while 57 percent disapproved, and 16 percent were unsure.

The findings in Staten Island were sharply different from New York’s other boroughs, where Mamdani’s approval rating was significantly higher.

In the Bronx, 45 percent approved of Mamdani’s performance, while 19 percent disapproved; in Brooklyn, 54 percent approved, while 26 percent disapproved; in Manhattan, 55 percent approved, while 29 percent disapproved; and in Queens, 42 percent approved, while 34 percent disapproved.

Overall, 48 percent of respondents approved of Mamdani’s performance, while 30 percent disapproved, resulting in a net positive approval rating of 18 percentage points.

The poll was conducted on 1,454 adults and had a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percentage points.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
