Here Is Where To Find The Cheapest Gas In New York State
According to AAA, every county except one has an average price of $4 or more for a gallon of regular unleaded gas. The one lone county in New York State where you can still get gas for an average of under $4 is Cattaraugus County.

At the time of this writing, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Cattaraugus County was $3.859. It is the only county to have an average of less than $4 per gallon.

According to the latest data from AAA, here are the average prices for gas in Western New York.
Erie County – $4.168
Niagara County – $4.074
Orleans County – $4.156
Genesse County -$4.121
Wyoming County – $4.140
Chautauqua County – $4.074
The overall price for a gallon of regular gas in New York State is $4.144
Almost every county in Western New York is below the state average except Erie County.
Highest Gas Prices In New York State
Western New York is home to the lowest average gas prices, it is not the same in the Eastern part of the State. Essex County has the highest average price for a gallon of regular gas at $4.380.
